Welcome to the Cave.
The Cave belongs to the King. I am merely the keeper. Here the King is delighted in and defended. The Cave welcomes all outsiders, misfits and needy people who confess allegiance to the King. May the words spoken in the Cave be to the King’s heart like a refreshing drink from the well at Bethlehem. And may they inspire all of valour devoted to his person and champions of his cause.
I just finished reading your article on Head Coverings; very well done, but I disagree with your primary reason for Paul setting this forth: You are working from the premise that the reason for the head covering is a demonstration of the male/female relationship with the head covering as a symbol of the submission of the female to the male, a visible token of the “chain of authority.”
I submit to you that the actual principle is the glory of Christ being preeminent in the assembly of His church, and the chain of authority or female submission is not the primary focus of 1st Corinthians 11. The results will be the same – women will be covered in the Assembly – but the rationale for getting there is going to be different. Here is my take on it:

I was particularly interested in how you began your article on Head Coverings, that the current evangelical church does not do things that it finds uncomfortable or contrary to its preferences. I have not yet explored all of your writings but if you deal with that subject in a more extensive way, I hope to find it.
Blessings on you,
Richard Pike
Glad I’m walking with Jack (when you’ve known him as long as I have–Whoo-Ah!) for he who walks with the wise grows wise, Not only his insights shared are a joy, so too the folks who have come across this blog have proven to be blessings to me as well. The teaching at the link you mentioned above squared right away (which before this, these verses were seen by me more darkly). Thx.
Hi Richard
Thanks for commenting. I am about to read your own post on head-coverings. Actually in a post on the blog I made the point about the glory of God in Christ. I tagree with you on this.

Strange, Mr. Daniels, upon re-reading this post, the crux of the matter (to me) is very present here as well: “By contrast, the woman’s head must be covered for she represents the glory of the man (he is her head and source) and man’s glory should not be to the fore when the church is gathered.” Either I forgot again, or needed Richard’s second witness to drive the teaching home. Again, I say…Whoo-Ah!
One might say “Bow-Wow!” too
